  Quite right. The fact that so many people fall for the scams online can only mean that they are not faintly aware of... most are savvy enough to know how to delete it from cache or whether this is even feasible on many of these terminals....

  I have heard that one can even select to have one's call recorded although I have never personally seen such an option.... then available to anyone with access to the computer. It is hardly likely that they would be saved in an encrypted form...

  I have tried both Nortons and McAfee and found the latter very difficult to customize to my requirements. Truth is that... without giving it much thought. I know people who won't touch it though as it seems to hog a lot of system resources....

  I used the Windows firewall until I installed the Norton's Security Suite, and I then changed to Norton's firewall... seemed to cause endless hassles for some people I know. Each system is different though, so one shouldn't generalize....

  Are skype calls encrypted on the fly? I haven't seen any option for this unlike some IM applications which allow you to... millions of users online with skype at any one time chances of getting recorded by a hacker are pretty slim I'd say....

  One of the other useful functions that PGP serves is that allows you to encrypt any files on your system or conversely... this. Apparently software is available that can even find files on a formatted hard drive, which is pretty scary....

  The most important thing is to keep one's virus definitions updated. The best anti-virus program out there won't help... think it great to be able to counteract every effort of the virus software people! People need to be on their toes....
